The archive system used by the W3C for its mailing lists sucks. (That includes WHATWG lists.) There are some alternative public archives, e.g. mail-archive.com and narkive.com, but they’re only slightly better.
Discourse has an mbox import script. Could we get the archives of relevant public W3C lists integrated into this WICG site?
Threads should be appropriately categorized, made read-only – or at least not automatically echo back to the actual mailing list – and registered users should be able to claim authorship by validating their (alternate) email addresses.
