Auto-converting links to the HTML Living Standard to use multipage locations

Continuing the discussion from HTMLSelectElement add ability to show option list programmatically:

It would be really nice if I didn’t have to post that manually (and “demand users never link to the single-page spec” is mis-solving a software problem at the human layer). Is there any kind of plugin mechanism for Discourse we can use that will convert links from the too-big version of the LS to the multi-page section (or a bot that will automatically post said page link as a reply)?

Single-page version of the HTML spec should probably be just abolished as an unusable and unneeded thing, and automatic redirections to multipage-version pages should occur.

To obtain the full HTML-spec version, a link to a PDF and/or a Zip-archive could be provided.
